Description
SFXC's extra-soft water-based, solvent-free screen printing binder is the perfect medium for printing bright colours onto white or light coloured cotton or poly-cotton blends.
Mix special effect pigments and inks with this binder to create your very own screen printing binder.
Use 6% pigment load. It is best to print wet on wet. SFXC Soft Base Binder offers excellent wash durability.
For best results, don't just add binder directly. If you want a lighter colour shade to the coating you are using, use a fresh batch of binder, adding a small amount of ink or pigment at a time. Then mix and repeat until you have achieved your desired colour.
Screen printing recommendations
Use medium shore rectangular squeegee to apply the binder mixed with your chosen pigments. It is very important that the product penetrates the fabric. Use 3-4mm off contact and print colours with a single stroke. If printing designs using multiple colours, avoid using flash cure units in between.
Use a screen with a mesh count of 43-77T (110-200). For halftones and fine details use the higher count and for the larger open areas use the lower mesh count.
Use a water resistant emulsion for the stencil.
When printing is complete, cure the fabric at 165C for 2 to 2.5 minutes.
To clean up, use water and a light detergent.
Store the sealed container in a cool place between 7C and 24C.
