Our metallic pigment products are gold pigments and made from ferric oxide mica flakes coated in titanium oxide. This gives the pigment a realistic metallic sheen that is unparallel, when compared to simply using standard ‘gold’ paint. As they are derived from natural sources, our pigments are environmentally friendly and therefore safe in many consumer goods.

Good lighting allows these amazing pigments to display their bright, reflective properties. Metallic pigments can be used as an enhancing effect or have the starring role in your product. They are brilliant when used in clear varnishes, binders and resins. These techniques will add vitality to flooring and counter tops, especially when doing restoration work. When using metallic pigments in gilding, mixing them with a clear wax or medium to create a gilt wax is another approach you can take. Even when using with darker base colours, these pigments are very effective due to their luminosity and their contrast to deep tones such as black or brown. It is possible to use these pigments to create a swirling, marble effect. You can also polish your finished surface; this will further the shine of your coating.

For application, use 5% pigment to 95% of the medium you are using. These powders are suitable for use in inks, paints, plastic injection moulding and many other applications. This product provides a beautiful addition to décor projects, jewellery and will give automotives a luxury effect.
