When not in the sun, photochromics seem to be pale and colourless. Under UV exposure their true colours shine…and we have a great range of colours you can browse.
SFXC photochromic pigments and inks are reversible. It will only take a few seconds for the colour to show up and then once back inside, the ink or powder will take 10-15 seconds to become pale again.

Our photochromic goods can be used on textiles, paper, board, canvas and plastic.
For fabric surface applications, we have plastisol ink products available in this range. These come in colours: magenta, orange, red and yellow. This ink does not air dry; you will need to heat- cure it, up to a temperature of 165°C. Doing this ensures your final product has better wash-ability and will last much longer.
Our pigment powders can be combined with a binder to create bright and brilliant coatings. This ratio should be 10% pigment to 90% binder. Suitable mediums include screen printing binder and clear glues and varnishes.
SFXC photochromic coatings are fantastic for covering t-shirts. While they appear white to begin with, when brought into sunlight their vibrant colours are revealed.
Applications for UV sensitive products include textile and fashion design, graphics and education such as UV awareness, as well as for health and safety purposes.
Use these products on a bright, sunny day. Cloudy conditions won’t help you to achieve the best effect these products can give you.
UV sensitive products, are quite rightly, sensitive to sunlight- so do not keep these products out in the sun when not in use. The performance of the product will be reduced.
