What's Inside:
This comprehensive trial pack includes five vibrant thermochromic colours, each with separate slurry and binder components for easy mixing:
- 25ml Magenta 28°C Thermochromic Slurry + 25ml Binder
- 25ml Yellow 28°C Thermochromic Slurry + 25ml Binder
- 25ml Red 28°C Thermochromic Slurry + 25ml Binder
- 25ml Black 28°C Thermochromic Slurry + 25ml Binder
- 25ml Blue 28°C Thermochromic Slurry + 25ml Binder
If one colour is out of stock we will substitute with another colour.
Coverage:
Approximately 70ml of mixed ink covers approximately 2 square meters, providing ample material for experimentation and multiple projects.
Easy Mixing & Application:
Simply combine equal parts of the slurry and binder to create your colour-changing ink. Apply thin, even coats using your preferred method, such as screen printing, or for larger areas, spray application. These colours are designed for individual use and cannot be mixed or layered.
Heat Curing:
After application, heat cure your printed designs with a hairdryer or similar heat source to ensure the ink is permanently bonded to the surface and prevent peeling.
Surface Compatibility (Important Testing Required):
These inks are primarily designed for touch and reveal applications on surfaces like paper, board, and certain textiles. Thorough testing is absolutely crucial to determine suitability for your specific substrate, as results may vary. The nature of thermochromic inks means that the substrate's properties can impact the colour change effect.
Expanding to Other Materials (Spray Application):
For use on surfaces like ceramics, glass, wood, or metal, simply leave a note at checkout, and we'll substitute the standard binder with our specialized Sprayable Lacquer. This allows for spray application using an airbrush or similar equipment. For larger projects, consider our Electric Paint Sprayer (900ml capacity) and Small Spray Booth.
Care & Storage:
Clean up is easy with warm, soapy water. Store the inks in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, for optimal shelf life (up to 6 months).
