El azul termocrómico 28°C comienza a desvanecerse a los 26°C y al llegar a los 28°C se vuelve translúcido, volviendo a la normalidad cuando se reduce la temperatura.
Los polvos termocrómicos son microcápsulas termocrómicas en forma de pigmento en polvo. Se han diseñado especialmente para su uso en sistemas de tintas de base no acuosa, aunque su uso no se limita a ello. Pueden utilizarse para formular tintas no acuosas para flexografía, UV, serigrafía, offset, huecograbado y epoxi (para aplicaciones acuosas recomendamos utilizar lechadas termocrómicas).
Los polvos termocrómicos se colorean por debajo de una temperatura determinada y cambian a translúcido cuando se calientan. Los pigmentos son reversibles y vuelven a cambiar de color una vez retirada la fuente de calor. Estos polvos están disponibles en varios colores y temperaturas de activación.
